Ryne Nardecchia

A 2013 Klein Oak alum, Ryne Nardecchia is a student in the BFA Musical Theatre program at Texas State University in San Marcos, class of 2017. Ryne was active four years in Klein Oak Theatre and the Klein Oak Theatre Club from 2009-2013. He was an Honor Thespian and vice president and officer of the Klein Oak Theatre Club (2011-2013). His performances at Texas State include Rent (Roger/ 2014), Kiss Me Kate (Hortensio/ 2014) and Anything Goes (Purser/ 2014). His professional credits include Thoroughly Modern Millie (2014).

Ryne’s 12 stage credits at Klein Oak include Sweeney Todd (Sweeney Todd), receiving the 2013 Tommy Tune Award for Best Leading Actor and representing Houston at the National High School Musical Theatre Awards (The Jimmy Awards) in NYC; How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (J. Pierrepont Finch)/ 2012 Tommy Tune nomination for Best Leading Actor; Anything Goes (Moonface Martin); Marvin’s Room (Hank)/ UIL Zone A Best Actor; Les Liaisons Dangereuses (Le Chevalier Danceny); The Crucible (Giles Corey); and Alice in Wonderland (Rabbit/ White Knight). Klein Oak Theatre Club peers voted him Best Actor in 2012 and 2013 and Best Supporting Actor in 2011. While in KISD, Ryne performed in more than 30 productions in the Houston area, including The Sound of Music (Friedrich von Trapp), Legally Blonde (Emmett), Tommy (Pinball lad) and 13 the Musical at Theatre Under the Stars. Other favorites: Into the Woods (Cinderella Prince/ Wolf), Twelfth Night (Sir Andrew Aguecheek), Little Mermaid (Prince Eric) at Houston Family Arts Center; and Les Miserables (Enjolras) at Class Act Productions. Ryne performed off-Broadway in the 2011 NY Musical Theatre Festival in the new musical Kissless (Bernie). He received scholarships from  TUTS/Tommy Tune Awards and the Pavilion PARTners to pursue his BFA and career aspirations in musical theatre.
